When you say the word “shower”, you can receive a variety of reactions from women. Some love them; most see them as obligations. Beverley and I love hosting and preparing for a shower: the decorations, the food, the games, the whole atmosphere. This past weekend it was a baby girl shower so we could showcase all our pink confections. Our centrepiece was lemon raspberry cupcakes with a sweet topper that we duplicated as a straw flag.
We stayed with a retro theme of fancy tea sandwiches, pink lemonade and a few ethnic dishes to please all palates. We used pink floral balls and weighted balloons for much of the décor.
We prepared pink marshmallow pops to add some whimsy to our dessert table. We sure had fun preparing this shower together. I hope the guests had fun too.
